v2.54.0 — Ads, Child Safety & Privacy Controls
v2.54.0 is our biggest update yet. Stanza stays free with tasteful, privacy-first ads that are non-personalized by default — backed by a Do Not Sell or Share control, an opt-in personalization toggle, and a completely ad-free Stanza Pro. It also brings clearer community and child-safety standards with easier in-app reporting, in-app announcement banners, and a wave of privacy, security, and performance improvements.
This is our biggest update yet — new privacy controls, stronger safety, in-app announcements, and the start of a free, ad-supported Stanza that keeps you in control.
Staying free — with you in control
Ads are non-personalized by default. Stanza now includes tasteful, privacy-first ads on the free tier. You can manage personalized ads any time in Settings › Privacy, and there is a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control.
Prefer none at all? Stanza Pro is completely ad-free. And sponsored posts are always clearly labeled — you can react to and discuss them like any other post.
Stronger safety
We published clear community and child-safety standards and made it easier to report concerns right from the app, with more automated protections working behind the scenes to keep Stanza a safe place for poetry.
In-app announcements
You will now see important notices from the Stanza team as a tidy banner and in your alerts — including announcements for specific poets, podcasts, or live channels you follow.
Smaller touches
Show or hide your password when signing in, a cleaner critique layout on tablets, plus privacy, security, and performance improvements throughout.
