Three Permission Toggles
Each submission has three independent permission settings:
Allow Correspondence
When enabled, readers can write letters (threaded replies) on your work. Turn it off to close the Correspondence entirely. A public poem with Correspondence off is still visible — readers just cannot write to it.
Allow Reactions
When enabled, readers can Cheer, Encore, or Tomato your work. Turn it off to disable all reactions.
Margin Notes
On by default. Readers can leave notes anchored to individual lines of your poem once it settles (a short settling period (currently 30 minutes) after publishing). Turning it off closes the margin for that piece — notes already written are never deleted; they simply appear with the Correspondence instead.
Defaults
All three are enabled by default, and these settings stay editable at any time after publishing — unlike the poem's title and text, which lock once a short settling period (currently 30 minutes) ends. Privacy controls who can see the work; permissions control what they can do with it.
