Counts tell you how many. Interaction lists tell you who: the readers who cheered, gave an Encore, reposted, quoted or added a piece to a list, as far as each of them has chosen to be seen.
Opening a list
- On a poem card: tap a count with a dotted underline, such as "12 cheers – see who". On Cheer, the faces of the first few named readers appear beside the count.
- On a list, episode or poet: press and hold a reaction pill. On a phone, the list opens as a sheet; on a wider screen, as a panel beside the pill.
The list has tabs for each kind of response (Cheers, Encores, Reposts, Quotes and Lists), and you can Search these readers by name.
Why some people aren't named
Every reader decides who can see that an action was theirs, under Settings › Privacy › Who sees what you do. If a reader has chosen not to be seen by you, they're counted but not named. The list ends with a line such as "and 4 others who chose not to be listed".
- Counts never change depending on who's looking. Everyone sees the same total.
- A reader who sets their reactions to Only me is hidden from everyone, including the poet.
- If you're signed out, you only see readers whose activity is public.
What's never named
Some actions are counted but never listed, for anyone, on any plan:
- Saves: always private. See "Saving Poems and Poets".
- Shares: sending a poem out of Stanza.
Critiques don't get a name list either. Their count opens the critiques themselves, which already carry the critic's name.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes are never named publicly. Only the poet (or a list's curator, or an episode's host) can see who threw a tomato, and only with Stanza Pro. On other plans, the poet sees the count, with an offer to upgrade. Anyone else who holds the Tomato pill just sees one line explaining that only the poet can see who threw one.
Readers who'd rather stay out of even that list can turn on Keep my tomatoes to myself under Settings › Privacy › Who sees what you do. With it on, the poet still sees the count, but not that it was you, and their notification says "Someone".
List adds
The Lists tab only names public lists. If someone adds a poem to a private or followers-only list, it isn't shown.
Your own reactions
If you're the poet and you cheered your own work, you're counted but not listed. The list says "Just you so far." rather than "Nobody yet."
For poets: hiding the names
Each poem has a Show who reacted switch, on by default. Turn it off in the poem's settings to stop readers seeing who cheered, encored, reposted and quoted it. They'll see "The poet has hidden who did this." Counts always show, and you always see the names (within each reader's own choices).
Interaction lists only exist for things you're allowed to see. If you can't open a poem, you can't see who reacted to it either.
