Join the Correspondence
Replies on Stanza are Correspondence — letters written to a poem and its poet, not comments. You can leave a letter on any submission where the poet has Correspondence enabled.
Write-backs & Exchanges
Letters are threaded: write back to a specific letter to continue the exchange, keeping each conversation gathered in one place. Each writer's ink colour runs down the edge of their letters, and when the poem's author answers, their letters carry the ✒ Poet badge.

Margin Notes
A reply can also live on a single line of the poem: a margin note, anchored exactly where a line moved you. See “Margin Notes, Letters, and the Settling Window” for how anchoring, the margin, and the notes drawer work.
When Replies Open
Letters open the moment a poem is published. Margin notes and critiques open a little later, after a short settling period (currently 30 minutes) — once the text has settled, so they always attach to a finished poem.
Poets can toggle Correspondence and margin notes on or off per submission via its settings (see “Permissions on Your Work”).
