Three Reactions, Three Meanings
Stanza has three reaction types, each with a distinct purpose. This is not a simple like button — it is a language for responding to poetry.
Cheer (Gold)
"I enjoyed this." The standard positive reaction. Unlimited. Use freely to acknowledge work you appreciate.
Encore (Green)
"This moved me deeply." Your strongest endorsement. Limited to 5 per month. This scarcity is intentional — it makes each Encore meaningful.
Tomato (Red)
"This needs work." A constructive criticism signal. Not hate, not trolling — it is a signal that the work could be stronger.
Key Detail
You can give both a Cheer and an Encore to the same piece. They are separate reaction types, not mutually exclusive. If a poem both delights you and moves you deeply, give it both.
Impact
Reactions appear as counts on submissions. They also influence the For You feed and Trending rankings. Your reactions help the community discover great work.
