Organizations can publish work under their own name and feature poems that members have already posted. Poets stay in control throughout: nothing of yours is published or sponsored by an organization without your say-so.
For organization staff
Posting as the organization
When you compose from your personal profile and you are on an organization's staff, a Post as option lets you choose Yourself or the organization.
- Attribution. The organization decides how posts are credited: to the organization only, or Dual credit (the organization and the staff member). If the organization leaves the choice to staff, you will see Post attribution in compose and can pick Org only or Dual credit for each post.
- Review before publishing. Organizations can require that posts made on their behalf are reviewed before they appear. If so, you will see "This post will be sent to the organization for review before it appears." Posts from the organization's admins are approved automatically.
- Outcome. You are notified when your post is approved or not approved, with the reason if one was given.
Editing the text of an approved organization post sends it back for review, and it is hidden until it is approved again.
Reviewing posts and requests
Admins review pending items in Requests & Review, which has tabs for On-behalf review, internal approvals and outgoing requests.
Asking to feature a poet's work
From a poem's menu, choose Request to feature. Pick the kind of request — Publication or Sponsorship — and how the work will be credited: you and the organization, the organization only, or the organization's choice. You can have one active request per poem.
For poets
Where requests arrive
Requests appear on your Requests page: "Organizations asking to publish or sponsor your work." You are notified when a new one arrives.
Accepting or declining
Open a request to see which organization is asking, what kind of request it is and how the work will be credited, then choose Accept or Decline.
- If a request credits the organization only, you will be asked to Confirm & accept, with a clear warning that your byline will not appear.
- Requests that credit you and the organization keep your name on the poem.
Declining a request never removes your poem or affects your account — it simply tells the organization no.
Request statuses
You may see a request marked Pending author (waiting for you), Accepted, Declined or Cancelled (the organization withdrew it).
