Can I have multiple profiles?

Yes. One Stanza account can hold up to three personal profiles. Many poets write in more than one voice — a pen name for experimental work, another for performance poetry, another for the poems they share with family — and profiles let each voice have its own home.

What each profile has of its own

Each profile is its own presence on Stanza:

• Its own username, name and avatar. Usernames are 3–30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and underscores.
• Its own followers and following.
• Its own poems, lists, circles and drafts.
• Its own settings, including privacy defaults and preferences.
• Its own monthly Encore allowance. Encores are not pooled across profiles.

Readers see each profile as a separate poet with its own page.

What your profiles share

Some things belong to you as a person rather than to a profile:

• Your sign-in and security. One email and password (and two-factor authentication, if you use it) cover every profile.
• Your subscription. A plan belongs to the account, so a personal Pro plan applies to all of your personal profiles.
• Your age. It is set once for the account.
• Marketing email choices. Your inbox is yours, so turning marketing email on or off applies to every profile at once.

Creating another profile

1. Open the profile switcher.
2. Choose Create New Profile.
3. Pick a username and set up the profile's name and avatar.

Once you have three personal profiles, Stanza will not let you create a fourth.

Switching between profiles

Use Switch Profile to change which profile you are acting as. Everything you do — posting, reacting, following, replying — is done as the active profile, so check which one is selected before you post.
